Seoulscapes

Visiting for the first time in October 2001, I was struck by the vivid colours in Korea’s urban and rural landscapes. During my travels, I spent many hours exploring Seoul’s vibrant backalleys and markets, where my eye was drawn to the busy “ajumma” hard at work under a canopy of signs and umbrellas. This Seoulscapes series was particularly inspired by the Namdaemun markets.
